"Free" by Vybz Kartel Available on all Platforms (The Weapon Riddim)

Reggae/Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel is unquestionably one of the biggest stars in the history of music, not just dancehall and reggae. On August 1 2024 Vybz Kartel was officially released from prison after winning his appeal in Jamaica’s supreme court. Vybz was convicted for murder and served over 13 years before having his conviction overturned. Prior to his incarceration Vybz Kartel recorded “Free” on the “Weapon Riddim” The song is about a couple enjoying the “party vibes” with Kartel imploring the young lady to let herself “be free”. It is fitting that one of the first songs to be shared with the public comes on the heels of his release.
