Jayson "J-DIdda" Butler

Vice President, Operations

Jayson “J-Didda” Butler epitomizes the concept of being a “Jack of all trades.” Fundamentally, he's a renaissance man, educated in philosophy, political science, public policy, economics, and legal studies, yet he chose a career in entertainment, marketing, and media relations. Formerly a recording artist, he is currently a songwriter, producer, artist development specialist, and media program director. While still pursuing his career as a recording artist, he co-produced and hosted influential independent radio shows such as N.EX.T.U.P. Radio and was a host for the popular hip-hop-based interview television show L.Y.F.E.S.U.X. TV. Shifting to the role of a journalist provided him with a holistic perspective on how brands are shaped and presented to the public for consumption.

He took on an A&R role with GoodThyme Click Entertainment, where he developed and marketed established and up-and-coming talents and labels such as Meryl Carter, Jhonni Blaze, Beenie Man, and J. Records, among others. During his tenure at GTC, Jayson acquired the skills necessary to effectively manage recording artists. Later, GoodThyme Click was reorganized into Up Top Click Entertainment, continuing to procure radio airplay, performance bookings, and media placements for artists such as TOK, H.E.R., Nyasia Chane’l Disney Amyka, Skerrit Bwoy, and more.

In 2019, Jayson became an equity partner in Creative & Soulful Entertainment LLC, whose principal artist is rising R&B singer-songwriter Nyasia Chane’l. CSE provides artist management, business consultation, music publishing administration, copyright management, and music distribution through AWAL/SONY Orchard, EMPIRE, and Sparta.
